Conceptualized 1989 and incorporated in 2003, Family Tree Service, Inc. was established because of a need in the local community and region for professional land management with a focus on hazard tree limbing, and hazard tree removal with a special emphasis on high voltage power lines.

Family Tree Service, Inc. employs Utility Line Clearance Certified Professionals who strive to be a leader in the tree care industry by providing safe and professional tree pruning and tree removal while utilizing ANSI A300 and Z133 tree care standards. Employee Owned since 2021, Family Tree operates with integrity while respecting customers, protecting the environment and fostering working expectations that encourage leadership, accountability and ownership.

International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) is a professional organization that seeks to promote the
professional practice of arboriculture and foster a greater worldwide awareness of the benefits of trees through research, technology and education. Many Family Tree Service employees are members of ISA and have achieved the designation of ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Arborist Utility Specialist, ISA Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist, and/or ISA Certified Tree Worker Aerial Lift Specialist. The company is also a Silver Patron Member.

Utility Arborist Association (UAA) is a professional organization for individuals and companies with interest in and a commitment to the maintenance of trees and other vegetation. It is the leading North American organization for the enhancement of quality utility arboriculture and right-of-way vegetation management. Many Family Tree Service employees are members of UAA and serve on the organization’s committees as volunteers. The company is also a sponsor of UAA.

Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) is a public and professional resource on trees and arboriculture, representing approximately 2,100 tree service and affiliated member companies. Many Family Tree Service employees are Certified Tree-Care Safety Professionals (CTSPs) through TCIA, and the company is an accredited Associate Member.
